After a fantastic Friday weather-wise, the weather will be just as nice, if not nicer.? This is a TMS Race Weekend too, beginning with the O?Reilly Auto Parts 300 this evening.? Weather will be great for fans and racers.
?
Saturday will feature some high cloudiness streaming in from the west.? Temperatures will be quite comfortable though.
?
It will get even warmer and also breezy on Sunday?with south winds up to 25 mph.
?
The weather pattern begins to change early next week as an upper level trough begins to send a dryline and cold front our way.? Tuesday, the system will be far enough to the west that most of North Texas should stay dry.? There could be severe thunderstorms in the Texas Panhandle over to the Wichita Falls area and up through Oklahoma.
?
By Wednesday, that upper level trough will edge farther east and that dryline will also give North Texas a chance of seeing scattered severe thunderstorms.? It?s early, but some of the storms could produce large hail and damaging wind.
?
Storms will form into a line along a cold front Wednesday night into Thursday.? The severe weather threat should shift into the eastern half of North Texas for Thursday.
?
So be sure to savor this weekend?s weather?it?s why April can be so nice in North Texas.? It stays warm through Wednesday, but behind that cold front, temperatures will be chilly again by the end of next week.
